Frequently Asked Questions

With so many photographers, choices, styles, and options to wade through, finding a wedding photographer is not easy.
That's why I keep my options and pricing as simple as possible. In an effort to make the process even easier for you, below
you will find the answers to some nagging questions you might have.

How do you identify your primary photographic style?
A mix of mostly photojournalistic style with some traditional posed shots -  always accepting input from the couple.

Please describe any special techniques you offer:
I personally post-process, edit, and retouch each digital image from the wedding day. I offer a mix of color and black and
white images - and again, I defer to the couple's preference.

Do you have a media preference?
99% digital with the occasional use of old film cameras, fisheye cameras, etc. just for fun when the situation allows.

Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Yes, absolutely. If you hire me, you get me.

Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one wedding in a day?
I would never book more than one wedding in a day. If you book me for a day, you have me to yourselves for that day.

What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
Since I shoot in a mostly photojournalistic style, I am on the move a lot. Therefore, I do not bring big lights, light stands,
reflectors, etc. I have two DSLRs, flashes, a number of different lenses, memory cards, etc.

Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Yes, of course. At least two DSLRs, two flashes, redundant lenses, etc.

Do you charge hourly or full day?
My base package is for a full day. Contact me if you need to customize a package for your event. Find out more on my
    pricing page.

Do you require a meal break? If yes, do you require that the wedding party provide your meal?
Yes, I require one meal break, and no the B&G don't have to provide it. If you do I will be very appreciative but it is
    certainly not required.

How many breaks do you usually take throughout the day?
One, just the meal break, and I eat fast. The rest of the time I'm working.

    Do you charge for travel?
The first 60 miles of travel are free. Travel above 60 up to 150 miles is an extra $200.

How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
    Generally 2-3 weeks

In what format are the initial proofs offered?
Private online gallery and 4x6 prints.

How long can the couple keep the proofs?
    As long as they want.

Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
Yes. I give the couple the right to reproduce all images for non-commercial uses.

Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
Yes. Obviously I would never publish any photos that could ever be found embarrassing or objectionable in any way.

Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the couple?
Yes. I provide a DVD with at least 400 high-res, retouched JPGs.

Will images be available for viewing on an online gallery?
    Yes.
